I was approached by Staying In Press—an independent publisher based in Illinois—to illustrate and design a poetic, calm, and quiet collection of three animal parables.
Serif fonts. Ink wash and grainy textures yet not gray or dark. Realistic animals, avoiding cutesy characters. These all make a more elegant, serious, and contemplative picture book.
