Liminal Reykjavik
An animated postcard Series
An animated postcard Series
It’s been almost 3 years living in Reykjavik. Sometimes I hate it, few moments I kinda' love it. I’m such an introvert, so with regards to population per square meter, Reykjavik is ideal. And everybody here—while seemingly collectively lacking in the 'big city drive' I so love—are so chill and easygoing.
There are a lot of ugly streets here, and also cosy spots… sometimes I stare at a place for too long, and I see people pass by in slow motion, go crazy at the constant hum of the refrigerator, and see steam particles rising from the hot tub filled with half naked people.
I really want to draw these moments, I thought. And so I’m starting a personal project, an illustration series, to show you my view of a Liminal Reykjavik.
